Located within walking distance from the famous Basilica Sagrada Familia, along the road Avinguda Diagonal meeting with Passeig de Sant Joan, is home to one of the icon of Barcelona.

The Winking Owl, seated on top of a 1970s building is hailed as a popular idol by many in the Eixample neighbourhood.

Right in front of the Owl is the monument of Jacint Verdaguer.

The owl was an important advertising label for Rètols Roura in the olden days. But today, it has made its name and became the city’s icon and memory of the people.
