The 58

Where to stay in Taipei?

This place i’m going to share is definitely a hidden treasure with a unique concept.

I booked this private room with ensuite through Airbnb and the price is so much cheaper compared to the local hotels.

Wait, isn’t this a Bar?

Well, yes. This is a Bar. But i did not stay in the Bar. 🙂

The 58 is a contemporary yet quaint Bar that made it’s home in a three storey building in Ximending area, with Ximending Shopping District just right behind.

The Bar took up two storey and the third are private rooms for rent.

On the drink front, the 58 Bar has an impressive selection of Taiwanese beers. This is a great spot for a post-dinner chill out.

As for food, they serves a wide choice of Western fares. For those who love to have a nice dinner in a cosy place off the beaten track, then this is definitely the place.

Now, let’s go to my room on the third storey.

The room is spacious, bright and modern with a bar table. Everything was perfect and clean. The air-conditioning was working great. The bed, adorned with comfortable sheets and fluffy pillows, were very comfortable. Free Wifi are provided as well.

(That is my bodyguard resting on the bed.)

Conveniently located, with many eateries and convenient stores along the street, the 58 is just a 10 minutes walk from Ximen and Bimen MRT station. It is a 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Ximending Shopping District.

From Taoyuan International Airport, it is only a 45 minutes drive.

This is an exemplary and highly recommended place to stay for solo travellers and couples.
