Silungan Restaurant is the only on-site restaurant of the Anulekha Resort & Villa located in Ubud, Bali. Perched on the top floor of the hotel lobby, it overlooks the main foyer entrance with unblocked views of the rice fields.

Nestled just above the height of the coconut trees around the hotel parterre, the restaurant truly has a picturesque scenery of the rice terraces of Ubud.

As the golden ears of the ripening rice fields gently sway in the light humid breeze, the lurid monotonous yet calming tones of green and gold are sure to captivate dinners at this restaurant with a good meal in the setting of calmness and soul-quenching peace.

The restaurant is opened throughout the day and serves a variety of cuisine from traditional Balinese and Indonesian cuisine to Western culinary.

Here are just some of the food I’ve ordered and tasted during my stay. I would have to agree with the online reviews by others but my favourite will definitely be the Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice). Unlike the other Nasi Goreng I’ve had before, theirs is truly unique and foreboding in flavours, rich to the last grain. The other foods I’ve tried here are also simply delicious. I’m really impressed by the quality of food and freshness even given such a remote locale hotel restaurant. The service was prompt and staffs were extremely friendly and courteous. They would even strike a chit-chat with you, sharing all you want to know about the local heritages and cultures here in Ubud.

In just one night’s acquaintance, a new friend made. She was one of the cutest and most outgoing staff who served me at this restaurant. 

It was truly a great joy dining here with memories that will last and carry on with me until my next return.
