What do you think of spending the Winter here in this picturesque ancient town and getting lost in its rich heritage?
For me, i totally love it.
Entering into ancient civilization.
Lijiang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the Naxi ethnic group where women rule!
Located in the Yunnan Province, this enchanting old town is blessed with fresh air and breathtaking snowy mountain.
The uniqueness of the town are the bijou wooden houses and cobbled streets, by the side of the beautiful streams.
The streets are filled with music from local shops, selling traditional instrument – drums. The music from these shops light up the atmosphere, bringing the streets to live.
That first shop on the left was where i had my album photo shoot.
Young girls and women enjoyed photo shooting in this lovely scenic town dressed in traditional costume.
The main and most happening town square… Square Street (Sifang Jie). This is where restaurants and pubs are gathered.
Beside soaking up in rich culture, one must not forget to indulge in some delicious cuisine.
Ooops…. This adorable Kitty is not for sale! Just assisting the owner in getting some customers!
This is how the trash bin looks like. Cute isn’t it?
This gentleman had been standing here for God knows how long. He was so struck by the beauty of this quaint building.
What a gigantic water wheel.
Located at the far end of the Old Town Square is the famous Black Dragon Pool (Heilongtan), also known as Jade Spring Park.
Surrounded by greenery and snowy mountain, this tranquil fairyland has a beautiful clear pool and charming monuments like the Longshen Temple and Deyue Pavilion.
Thanks to the great weather. The ‘not so cloudy’ sky allowed me to have a great view of the charming Jade Snow Mountain.
Totally in love with this gorgeous scenery.
This town is so full of wonders. It brings back so many memories whenever i think of it.
